AT THE SOUTH OF SERBIA

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Project of Gypsies’ integration in local informative area at the South of Serbia has for objective the education for journalism of certain number of Gypsy’s national community members and giving up radio area for their independent work.
The project predicts training of 7 members of that community from who 5 are being trained for the job of journalist and 2 for the job of ton-technical personnel. After theoretical training and practices, an 1 one-hour show is broadcasting within the O.K. radio program “Sunen E Romen” (Listen to Gypsies), which is being prepared, arranged and announced by beginners of this course independently. The O.K. radio gives all its available equipment for these shows realization as well as whole team for eventual help and advice.
The point is, that the Gypsy’s population is not only subject of Serbian journalists, that are specialized for them, but, FINALY, that they themselves make included program, which would follow their needs and meet includements of their population.
